How to use the Pregnancy Due Date Calculator

  1. 1

    Enter your inputs

Fill in the required fields at the top of the due date calculator. Each input shows a default placeholder so you can see the expected format and units before you type.

  2. 2

    Adjust assumptions and options

Use the toggles, sliders and dropdowns to tailor the calculation to your situation — currency, country, time period, advanced options and any optional fields all change the result in real time.

  3. 3

    Review the result

The result card updates instantly as you type. Read the headline number, then check the breakdown, chart and any per-period schedule to understand how the inputs combined to produce the answer.

  4. 4

    Compare scenarios

Change one input at a time to see how sensitive the result is to that variable. This is how you build intuition: small changes that move the answer a lot are the levers that matter.

  5. 5

    Share or save your result

Copy the shareable link to send the exact scenario to someone else, or use your browser to print or save the page. The URL preserves every input so the recipient sees the same answer you do.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Naegele's rule: LMP + 280 days (40 weeks). Conception date + 266 days. IVF transfer date adjusts for embryo age (3-day or 5-day blastocyst).
  • Reasonably accurate for women with regular 28-day cycles. Less accurate with irregular cycles or unsure LMP. Ultrasound dating in the first trimester is the most reliable.
  • Conception typically occurs ~14 days after the start of LMP (around ovulation). Calendar of pregnancy is dated from LMP, so you're considered "2 weeks pregnant" at the moment of conception.
  • First: weeks 1-13. Second: weeks 14-27. Third: weeks 28-40. Each trimester has its own milestones, screenings and considerations.
  • Adjust ovulation/conception date forward or backward by the difference. The LMP method assumes a 28-day cycle; some calculators offer "cycle length" adjustment.
  • No — symptoms vary widely between women and pregnancies. Use LMP, conception date or ultrasound for accurate dating.
  • Only ~5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Normal full-term delivery is anywhere from 37-42 weeks. The due date is a target, not a deadline.
  • Gestational age is measured from LMP (the standard). Fetal age (since conception) is ~2 weeks less. Doctors use gestational age throughout.
  • Schedule your first prenatal visit around 8-10 weeks gestational age. Earlier if you have medical conditions, prior complications or symptoms of concern.
  • Severe stress is associated with marginally higher rates of preterm birth, but the calculated due date remains unchanged. The calculation reflects biology, not lifestyle.
